For the Mexico Government Scholarship 2023, applications are now being accepted. The Fully Funded Excellence Scholarships of the Government of Mexico for Foreigners are open to all international students from more than 180 countries. There is a great opportunity for students from around the world to pursue their Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degrees in Mexico for free. The Mexican government offers the prize. The Scholarship is offered for the 2023–2024 school year.
Students from all around the world can pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees in almost all academic subjects and majors with the Mexico Scholarship. The full cost of studying abroad will be covered by the scholarship.
Participating in this Call are more than 70 Education Institutions Superiors Mexicans (IES), all of which have academic programs approved for Mexican Government scholarships for international students. Applicants of all nationalities are welcome. Through the Mexican Agency for International Development Cooperation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE) is providing the scholarship (AMEXCID). Financial Benefits
A fully funded scholarship program for international students, the Mexico Government Scholarship 2023. The full cost of studying in Mexico will be covered by the scholarship. Following are the specifics of the expenses that are covered:
- Mobility awards at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- At the Master’s level, a research stay costs 4 (four) times the Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA) monthly value, which is now equal to $11,700.36 in Mexican pesos. Changes mandated by legislation may be made to the Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA). (Child support was provided one month late.)
- Doctoral Research Stays and Postdoctoral, Medical Specialties and Subspecialties, and a monthly maintenance payment of 5 (five) times the monthly value of the Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA), now equal to $14,625.45 in Mexican pesos, are all eligible for Ph.D. scholarships. Changes mandated by legislation may be made to the Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA). (Child support was provided one month late.)
- Enrollment and tuition fees are paid in accordance with each Mexican educational institution’s program requirements and are contingent upon each institution’s final determination, which is communicated in the acceptance letter.
- Medical insurance is provided by the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), effective for the duration of the scholarship period and starting on the seventh month of the award. AMEXCID will be in charge of this management in the case of Private Institutions. It will be done directly with the Higher Education Institution in the case of Public Universities.
- Exemption from paying the visa’s issuance fee for Mexico.
- Upon successful completion of the scholarship, international air travel. According to the flight itinerary, a ticket in the tourist class will be provided.

- For accreditation by any university or educational institution that guarantees a minimum level of B2 within the Common Framework of European Reference, applicants whose first language is not Spanish must submit a copy of proof of advanced language proficiency in Spanish that was issued by the institution.
- In a letter, the applicant protests the truth that the data provided are accurate.
- All paperwork must be presented in Spanish or with Spanish translations.

- Students with nationalities from any of the aforementioned nations may apply for scholarships.
- Applicants do not at the moment reside in Mexico.

- Scholarships will be given based on academic achievement.
- Be accepted into or enrolled in a program at one of the Mexican institutions taking part in the Call.
- The candidate’s high academic achievement in the desired field of study.
- The applicant’s academic and professional background is relevant to the selected field of study or specialization in Mexico.
- The field of study is important too and has a direct impact on, the applicant’s country’s development.
- The program must be related to specific current or approved projects that have an impact on the applicant’s country’s development.

How to Apply for Mexico Government Scholarship?
- Online application at Academic Cooperation Management System (SIGCA): https://sigca.sre.gob.mx
- Applications must be submitted in Spanish.
- The SIGCA portal will remain open for applications between June 20, at 6:00 p.m., and July 24, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. Central Mexico time. This requires that the documentation be attached in accordance with the System and the scholarship to which you are applying guidelines.
