Greetings, applicants! For the academic year 2022-23, applications are open for Kazakhstan Government Scholarships. With 550 scholarships available to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. degree programs at Kazakhstani universities. The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan offers and funds the scholarship. It is open to international applicants, including Kazakh nationals who are not Republic of Kazakhstan citizens.

The scholarship is simple to obtain. Under this scholarship program, selected students can study at one of Kazakhstan’s designated universities. Kazakhstan is the world’s largest country, straddling Europe and Asia at the same time.

Kazakhstan is the first and only country in Central Asia to be admitted to the European higher education area as a full member. All international students are welcome to attend the universities, which will provide instruction in English. 550 scholarships is a large number, but you can apply with ease. Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor Degree:

  1. Passport
  2. A transcript and supplement (if available) from the previous level of education, as well as a notarized translation into Kazakh, Russian, or English (for applicants for a bachelor’s degree, the average rating of the document confirming secondary education with a grade of at least “good”)
  3. Essay on motivation in Kazakh, Russian, or English
  4. A letter of recommendation in Kazakh, Russian, or English from the educational institution or employer where the applicant studied
  5. A medical certificate for study abroad, as well as a medical certificate confirming the absence of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV infection) and AIDS, from the applicant’s country of residence’s official health authority
  6. Form of application
  7. If applicable, a letter of invitation from a Kazakhstan university

Master and Ph.D. Degree:

  1. Passport
  2. A transcript and an appendix (if available) from the previous level of education, as well as a notarized translation into Kazakh, Russian, or English (bachelor’s, master’s, or specialist diploma with a 3.0 (out of 4.0) GPA or its equivalent obtained in educational institutions).
  3. Form of application
  4. Kazakhstan university’s letter of invitation (if available).
  5. An international certificate attesting to one’s ability to communicate in a foreign language.
